Calderon Speaking At Crony Universities @100K A Pop

Do you ever notice how Washington predominately remains silent about the drug war violence in Mexico? Do you think Americans would put up with this level of violence if it were happening in the US?
Do you think that Americans would put up with our leaders using our military to go to war with drug gangs in the US? How long do you think that would last once it was it was learned that tens of thousands of innocent US citizens were being slaughtered in the crossfire, and that our military was just as corrupt and murderous as the drug gangs themselves?
Can you even imagine jumping in your car to take a trip and being held up at a roadblock where you are pinned to the floorboard of your car for over thirty minutes while automatic gun fire rages all around you?
Welcome to the lives of many of our good friends from Mexico. Where is the outrage from our politicians? Is Mexican trade and oil the bribe they get to keep their mouths shut?
Then Harvard University rewards retiring Mexican Drug War President Felipe Calderon with a fellowship and gives him a year's vacation in the US. Harvard does not mention Calderon's 100,000 drug war dead. No, they also keep their mouths shut as this tyrant tours the US speaking at crony universities for 100K a pop.

It's About Greed Stupid!
Our Mexican border has always been a bi-national merry-go round in which the bi-national elite profit from Mexican labor at the expense of American taxpayers.
All of the immigration propaganda and political rhetoric are designed to keep American taxpayers "dumb downed" to this truth.
All of the immigration propaganda and political rhetoric are designed to keep American taxpayers "dumb downed" to this truth.
Do you actually think that the Mexican undocumented would come or stay here if they could make comparable wages working at home with their families? Do you know that the minimum wage in Mexico is about 65 CENTS per hour? Do you know that is 1.25 billion dollars in cross border trade is exchanged between the two countries on a daily basis? Do you know who is our number two source of oil? Do you know who is the number one foreign investor in Mexico?
Don't even get me started on the bi-national drug war scam.
It's about greed stupid.
Do you see how Harvard University recently granted Ex-Mexican Drug War President Felipe Calderon a prestigious fellowship while paving the way for Calderon to speak at American Universities for 100K a pop? Notice how they never discuss the 100,000 dead, 25,000 missing, and 240,000 displaced as a result of Calderon's US backed, government sponsored cartel take over in Mexico.
Do you actually believe that Calderon either would or could destroy the goose that lays those golden Mexican drug profiting eggs?
We have met the enemy, and the enemy is us.

The real terrorism in America is American stupidity
In Response: http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/articleComments/Calderon-says-drug-war-was-his-legal-duty-4375166.php
I don't know which is worse. Calderon's lies (i.e. his drug war a legal duty) or the fact that Americans believe him.
Profits and corruption from drugs are as much a part of Mexican politics as cerveza and mariachi music are. Do you actually believe Calderon is going to destroy the goose that lays the golden eggs?
His drug war was a government sponsored cartel hit on the competition and nothing more. This tyrant sacrificed 100,000 of his own peoples' lives in doing so, and yet Trinity University, Harvard University, and Colgate University pay him to speak otherwise?

Immigration Reform: They Are Pulling Your Chain
In Response: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/22/immigration-reform-guest-worker-_n_2936266.html?&ir=Latino%20Voices&utm_hp_ref=latino-voices
Do you really think either side of the isle wants a fix to immigration? I have been involved with this issue for almost 35 years, and I can tell you they don't. They are pulling your chain.
The decades long quagmire/status quo provide too much money for the bi-national rich (US/Mexico) and their hired politicians for them to allow any real change.
The Mexican rich export their poor (and the problems of those poor) in exchange for remittances sent back home. The US elite profit from cheap labor and prison inmates to further line their pockets.
US taxpayers not only pay with their taxes, but also with loss of jobs and the qualities of their lives. Have you been to an hospital emergency room in California lately?
Do you honestly believe the Mexican undocumented would come or stay here if they could provide for their families working at home?
Failed immigration is just another way that our government continues to fail us. It is right up their with failed health care, the purposeful 2008 recession for profit, and the illegal war in Iraq.

American Exceptionalism and Ignorance
In response: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/20/tougher-us-border-security-_n_2912794.html?utm_hp_ref=latino-voices
American exceptionalism and ignorance - believing the undocumented are the problem and ignoring that the bi-national 1% (US/Mexico) are the cause.
Also ignoring that the 1% are raping them just as they are raping the undocumented.
Stupid is as stupid does.

Hero Rachel Corrie Died for What She Believed In
In Response: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2013/03/16-7
Profit is more important to our corporate run government than not only own our lives but the lives of our children too.
A war based on lies in Iraq, a preventable Recession of 2008, a 40 year long failed drug war, a foreign policy that creates hatred, and a health care system designed to make profit for the rich at the expense and well being of the American citizenry.
We are not that much different than the people of Palestine. Maybe more hypnotized or tranquilized to what we think is comfort.
We too suffer and die at the hands of the 1%. The Israeli 1% hire leaders to use heavy machinery and weapons to bulldoze their way. The US 1% hire leaders to use banking, wars, laws, poverty and propaganda to bulldoze their way.
Out heart wrenching condolences to the Corrie's. Rachel is a hero who stood for what she believed in and paid the ultimate price.
I pray our citizens wake up and stand against the wrongdoings of our failed government.

Are Axel's Death and 100,000 Mexican Drug War Deaths Coincidental?
I start with two countries: the US and Mexico. The US has been fighting a failed drug war for over 40 years. That war contributes to America having the highest prison population in the world. Drug war proponents ignore bi-national drug abuse and drug addiction as health care and mental health issues. In doing so, they put both countries citizens' lives at risk.
In 2006 Mexican President Felipe Calderon doubled-down on the failed US drug war strategy. He ordered 50,000 of his own soldiers to go to war with Mexican cartels. Six years later 100,000 people (including many innocent women and children) are dead. There are 25,000 missing, 230,00 displaced, and another 15,000 kids orphaned. Despite government propaganda, over 50% of Mexico's citizens are poor or live in abject poverty as a result of this bi-national war.
Common sense dictates that our forty-year US drug war has become an industry of profit for US corporations. Billions of dollars go towards drug enforcement salaries, equipment, border militarization, and privatized security/prison budgets.
Common sense dictates that the Mexican drug industry is a historically vital source of profit for the Mexican elite. Read "Drug War Mexico" by Peter Watt and Roberto Zepeda. Learn how the organized criminal Mexican narco-elite have been controlling Mexico's government, politics, economics, and institutions for almost 100 years.
Do you actually believe that President Calderon intended on destroying the Mexican goose that has been laying those golden Mexican narco- eggs for nearly 100 years?
Calderon's US backed drug war was (and still is) nothing but a governmental sponsored corporate (cartel) takeover of the competition. Just as greedy US corporations use the government to drive competitors out of business (NAFTA, big oil, big agriculture, Wal-Mart, big Pharma, Wall Street Banks etc.), the Mexican cartels' elite use the Mexican military and law enforcement agencies to slaughter the competition.
Do you not find it a bit interesting that Sinaloa Drug Cartel leader Chapo Guzman, Mexico's foremost drug kingpin, remains untouched after six years of Calderon's war?
So what if anything does all of the above have to do with Axel's murder? We will probably never have a complete answer. Yet I do have questions for our bi-national leaders:.
· Why does the US government remain silent about 100,00 people being killed in Mexico during Calderon's 6-year, failed drug war?
· Are US profits from Mexican oil, drugs and trade more important than people's lives?
· Despite a legacy of corruption and blood, why was ex-Mexican President Felipe Calderon recently granted a prestigious fellowship at Harvard University?
· Why do American and Global banks get away with laundering Mexican Cartel money (Wachovia and HSBC)?
· How many more innocent children will have to die before the US and Mexican governments tell the truth about their failed drug war policies and motives?

US Cororations = Mexican Cartels
In response: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/09/mexico-vigilantes_n_2843907.html?utm_hp_ref=latino-voices
This insanity all stems from a corrupt cartel-run government, its insatiable greed and its historic failure to provide for its own citizens.
There is little difference between the methods of US corporations and Mexican Cartels except the latter is literally much more cut-throat in its dominance.

With the bi-national elite making 1.25 billion dollars a day in cross border trade, why is the minimum wage in Mexico 65 CENTS per hour? The Mexican undocumented would not come or stay here if they could make equal wages at home.
If our government had any cajones they would sanction Mexico until it started taking care of its own citizens.
We have met the real enemy, and the enemy is us.
