That's the mistake we all make by supporting "immigration reform" that does not address the root cause of illegal immigration. You your common sense. People come here illegally because of poverty that is exacerbated by Washington's and the undocumenteds' own home country elite's NAFTA, CAFTA, and pending TPP.
Today's attempt at immigration reform will lure millions more people here and cause thousands more border deaths. This despite the promises of Reagan's 1986 Amnesty, Clinton's 1994 NAFTA, and Gorge W. Bush's creation of the Department of Homeland Security in 2002.
All three presidents promised to stop illegal immigration the exact opposite of what they promised happened. The number of undocumented in America shot from 3 million in 1986 to the 11.2 million (or more) that it us today.
Because of 20 years of NAFTA - the US and Mexican elite are now economically tied so closely together that they accept illegal immigration as a cost of their doing business together. And as you know, American taxpayers are suffering the costs and consequences.
