Tell me how any of these listed outperformance examples can possibly be considered of any significance when compared to the inconceivable level of corruption and incomprehensible level of drug war violence present in Mexico today?

How dare you insult our intelligences with this laughable, embarrassing propaganda.  How dare you dishonor the families of the Mexican and US drug war dead, the drug war missing, the drug war displaced, and the drug war orphaned by claiming that "so much of  U.S. coverage of Mexico focuses on the drug war."

Speaking as an American who has studied the Mexican Drug War since 2006, I say that the majority of major U.S. news media groups IGNORE the ongoing, horrific tragedy of this U.S. backed Mexican drug war.   From my experience few Americans really understand the horrendous levels of death, corruption, and violence that have plagued the good people of Mexico since 2006.

America isn't lily white.  America has its own unprecedented levels of political corruption, unnecessary wars, and gun-related violence.

Yet two wrongs don't make a right.  And I know from the bottom of my heart that if the U.S. military and law enforcement somehow became as corrupt as Mexico's, and Washington used that military and law enforcement  to go to war with drug gangs on American streets - we would have a nationwide revolution.

Any reporters or news groups with integrity and love for Mexico should be begging for increasingly more and unprecedented amounts of drug war coverage in Mexico.

You should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourselves.

This is like saying one kid's parents are outperforming their neighbors' parents:

Yep, they make good money, do their civic duties, play sports well, they work real hard at their jobs, and are the happiest people on the block.

See how much better my parents are than yours?

Oh did I forget to mention that they are also flaming drug addicts and like to murder people?
