The majority of those concerned with CIR (Comprehensive Immigration Reform) what to capitalize upon undocumented laborers and the border security empire that has never been real effective at stopping them.
And yes the Zuckerberg billionaire gods of the high-tech world want to cash in on cheaper H1-b foreign workers too. Guess he has forgotten his roots.
Of course no one in the reform community will discuss the finer points of the poverty-driven, profit- driven Mexican illegal immigration system (62% of our undocumented) that has been running for decades now.
That Mexican illegal immigration part boils down to the bi-national elite's profiting from NAFTA and NAFTA created poverty that rapes the common, hard working citizens on both sides of the border. And yes indirectly causes the deaths of some undocumented too.
Reform translates into capitalizing upon their profit-driven system of illegal immigration. They want us to pretend that by waving the magic reform wand over 11.2 million people this insanity will go away.
It won't go away until we hold our bi-national governments responsible for what they have and are doing to the good people on both sides of the border.
